AlarMax Distributors is looking to grow their team of Inside Sales Representatives in our Phoenix location. Ā

AlarMax is an industry leader of distributing state-of-the-art solutions from manufacturers of intrusion, fire, video surveillance, access control, residential & commercial AV, sound, communications, structured cabling, and home automation products. We have expanded to 25 locations across the US and continue planning for future growth. Ā

We are looking for motivated, career oriented, and forward-thinking individuals with a desire to learn and become an integral member of the AlarMax team. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is customer service oriented. The position will require a multitasking, forward thinking, efficient and productive go-getter. Ā 

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for all sales job duties, from assisting customers, generating leads, and increasing sales. Duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our products and recommend the right solutions. You should be able to promptly resolve customer complaints and ensure maximum client satisfaction. The successful candidate will stay up to date with product features and maintain our branches visual appearance in high standards, while ultimately achieving excellent customer service and consistently meeting branch sales goals.Ā 

Core Responsibilities and Job DutiesĀ 

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and customer service
  • Assess customers’ needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Demonstrate use and operation of product and recommend products to customers and answer questions
  • Follow and achieve department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • ā€œGo the extra mileā€ to drive sales and have the ability to cross sell products
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-upĀ 
  • Place outgoing calls to known or unknown customers based on initiatives and existing work
  • Accurately and efficiently, complete all sales transactions which include processing invoices, returns, receiving and processing cash, checks and credit card payments
  • Participate as a team with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
  • Build productive trust relationships with customers and team members

Skills and Core CompetenciesĀ 

  • Proven work experience as a Sales Associate, Sales Representative or similar roles.
  • Previous exposure or experience with AV, CCTV, security, fire alarm, or surveillance products or installation highly desired
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
  • Proficiency in English
  • Basic Math skills
  • Marketing and Industry Insight - Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Upselling and Cross Selling - Track record of over-achieving sales quota
  • Hands-on experience with POS transactions and MS Office
  • Familiarity with inventory procedures
  • Active listening - Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conversational excellence - A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Willingness to learn
  • Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
  • High school degree or equivalent
