Job Description

The Senior Officer at United Overseas Bank Ltd plays a pivotal role in supporting departmental operations, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and contributing to the efficient delivery of banking services. This position involves a blend of operational execution, problem-solving, and collaboration within a dynamic financial environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Execute daily operational tasks and processes accurately and efficiently, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.
* Review and verify transactions, documents, and reports for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
* Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and analyses for management review and decision-making.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to resolve issues, streamline processes, and improve operational effectiveness.
* Respond to customer and internal inquiries, providing timely and accurate information and escalating complex issues when necessary.
* Identify potential risks and operational inefficiencies, proposing solutions for continuous improvement.
* Support the implementation of new systems, processes, and products, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
* Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of relevant banking regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
* May be involved in coaching and mentoring junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-money laundering, know-your-customer).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with banking systems.
* Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
