We are seeking a motivated Piping Apprentice to join our growing team. This is an entry-level to early career position ideal for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the HVAC and plumbing trades. You will work alongside experienced journeymen and foremen to learn installation, fabrication, and maintenance of piping systems in commercial environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist in installing commercial piping systems (hydronic, chilled water, steam, gas, and plumbing systems)Â
- Support HVAC equipment installations, including piping connectionsÂ
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications (with training)Â
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble piping materialsÂ
- Maintain tools, equipment, and worksite cleanlinessÂ
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelinesÂ
- Assist with job site layout and material handlingÂ
- Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship coursework
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- Enrollment in or willingness to join a recognized apprenticeship program preferredÂ
- Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in construction/tradesÂ
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathÂ
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learnÂ
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, climbing, bending)Â
- Reliable transportation to job sitesÂ
- OSHA 10 certification (preferred, not required)
Required Skills:
- Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to understand how piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems functionÂ
- Basic Math Skills – Comfortable with measurements, fractions, and calculations for cutting and fitting pipeÂ
- Tool Familiarity – Ability to safely use (or quickly learn) hand tools and power toolsÂ
- Blueprint Awareness – Basic understanding of construction drawings or willingness to learn how to read themÂ
- Attention to Detail – Precise measuring, cutting, and assembly to ensure quality and safetyÂ
- Physical Stamina – Ability to lift heavy materials, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasksÂ
- Problem-Solving Skills – Willingness to troubleshoot installation challenges on job sitesÂ
- Communication Skills – Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with team members and supervisorsÂ
- Time Management – Dependable and able to stay on task to meet project deadlinesÂ
- Safety Mindset – Strong commitment to following OSHA standards and company safety procedures
