Assembly Supervisor

Job Summary and Key Objectives

In search for a high-energy, hands-on Assembly Supervisor to direct & supervise our Viking Assembly Machine operations.  Ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day activity of the Assembly Machine operations and staffing for efficiency of manpower, machinery, and maximizing out-put production. The position will report to the General Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• Supervises safety, quality, employee relations, visual controls and assembly performance measures.
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
• Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and complete and on-time delivery.
• Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policy.
• Provides direction, development and leadership to production assembly employees.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualification and Education

• Five years’ experience in a Production Supervisor manufacturing environment.
• Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
• Bi-lingual a plus (English & Spanish)
• Computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
