Fabrication and welding experience also required. Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised, lead others, with a sense of urgency, self-motivation and overall good work ethics while performing tasks in a safe manner. Must be able to travel and work at remote locations. Individual shall have a basic understanding, and ability to use, Microsoft programs of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook email.  Must have, or be able to obtain, passport, security clearance, a forklift operator’s license and Cat 3 Crane Operator certification and rigger certification. Responsibilities Performing depot level cable handling machinery repair activities, maintenance, & fabrication, as well as other related work assignments, as designated by Depot Machinery Repair Facilities Manager, or Machinery Repair Facility Supervisors, and oversee actives of other junior technicians as required. Perform administrative support activities, such as computer-based training, database record keeping, report writing, and other IT related activities. Perform equipment repairs aboard vessels, both in port, and while underway, locally, or abroad depending on ships location. QualificationsQualifications High school degree or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience Military experience preferred. Possess a solid working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, and plc-based machinery systems.  Knowledge or experience in welding, cutting, grinding, fabricating, and painting. Operate and maintain building cable equipment as well as boiler/heat/HVAC systems. Operate, maintain, and overhaul misc. cable machinery including Cable Haulers, Cable Drums, Transporters, DOHB, Trolley Hoists, and other types of machinery. Operate, maintain, and overhaul cable drum modules. Operate sand blasting and paint booth equipment. Assist in physical and mechanical loading and unloading cable containers. Maintain supplies and repair parts as required. Operate Forklifts and CAT III Cranes, and rig equipment for lifting when required. Use Microsoft programs to maintain machinery history, quality assurance records, and misc. drawings and technical documentation. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
