POSITION SUMMARY

Engage and assist guests as they explore our museum and its amazing collection of artifacts. Desire to exceed guest service expectations and knowledge of Titanic's boarding passes and artifacts is vital.

To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Essential Functions

  • Crew members must be able to work a varied schedule - days, evenings, weekends, holidays
  • Greet and direct passengers, coaches, tours and buses.
  • Enhance guest experience by forming a connection with guest boarding passes and its history of an actual Titanic passenger crew.
  • Provide guest assistance throughout museum tour by answering questions regarding our artifacts and introducing Titanic trivia unheard of by the general public.
  • Assist with special events held at the museum and other locations as deemed by management.
  • Perform opening and closing duties.
  • Aptitude to quickly familiarize yourself with Titanic's history, her passengers and our museum.
  • Provide passengers with first class guest service.
  • Create a happy, respectful and courteous environment.
  • Ability to communicate well, interact and enjoy children.
  • Assist with maintaining your designated area.
  • Willingness to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holiday.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Less than high school education

Experience:

  • experience in public speaking
  • experience in customer service

Customer Service Computer Skills: Aptitude for learning company based software.

Other Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • May have some exposure to outside climates for extended periods of time.
