Biology Research Technician II

Students will assist in the management of various research projects within the natural sciences. These projects will typically be agriculturally focused, with a heavy emphasis on mushrooms, but could also include work in medicinal plant/fungal extracts. Students in this position will be given advanced research responsibilities, include data analyzing and preforming standardized experiments.
This position is ideal for students interested in biological sciences and research experience.
Responsibilities and Career Competencies:
- Organize and maintain a clean and working research laboratory: C, TW, P
- Assist senior research personnel in prepping sterile substrates (agar, grain, etc…): C, TW, P, CSD, CT, L, T
- Assist with the design and implementation of novel agriculture research projects: C, TW, P, CSD, CT, CTR, L, T
- Inoculate, incubate, and harvest mushrooms and hydroponic vegetables: C, TW, P, L, T, CSD
- Oversee Biology Research Technician I employee’s maintenance on hydroponic and mushroom cultivation units: C, TW, T, CSD, L
