What You Should Know About the Transport Aide/ Driver:

• This job will require you to work some weekends.  Typical hours are eight hours a day with the shift ending by 5:30 pm.
• This position is based within Jefferson Regional Central Transportation Department

Job Summary:

The Transport Aid is responsible for transporting patients in wheelchairs or stretchers as requested from various areas of the hospital and safely get them to their ordered location.

 Transport Aid/ Driver Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CPR/BLS required upon hire or obtained within the 30 days of hire.
• Current and Valid AR Driver's License
• Must be at least 21 years of age due to insurance requirements for operating company vehicles
• This is a safety sensitive position. *
• Minimum Requirements:
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift/move patients and equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to hospital policies
  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting with patients in a compassionate and respectful manner
  • Must have a clean driving record
• Preferred requirements:
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting a plus.
