Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for an Assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company’s success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products
  • Able to follow verbal and written instruction maintaining a focus on quality
  • Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts
  • Uses hand tools such as long nose pliers, screw drivers, soldering irons, and wrenches
  • Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels
  • Uses Microsoft Office programs
  • Maintains neat and clean work area
  • Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements
  • Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state of the art environment
  • Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks
  • Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift
  • Able to transport up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance which requires US Citizenship
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material 

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Electrical background at the component level.
  • Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the L3Harris E3 continuous improvement process.
  • J-STD-001, IPC-610.
  • Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include Soldering.
