Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Service Specialist to act as the central point of contact for the Veris Product Line. This role is pivotal to the customer experience and the Associate will focus on managing service requests, coordinating resources, and supporting both internal teams and external clients. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and an ability to handle competing priorities.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and Build a Veris Installation & Service Log, and manage Veris Service Projects from initial communication through completion.
  • Provide technical assistance regarding measurements, drawings, and technical manuals to resolve a wide range of customer inquiries from installation to warranty assistance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance client satisfaction & resolve escalated issues promptly.
  • Produce service documentation through an in-house EDP program build and process paperwork according to established procedures.
  • Track and Monitor Veris field service corrective action and identify root cause of issues identified, communicating with Production, Design, and Engineering.
  • Complete the Veris certified installer program and Train-the-Trainer program, while meeting requirements to become a trainer for Veris Installations.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for installation and field service.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement processes that align with organizational goals.
  • Cross train within the department to support Service & Installation of other product lines.
  • Perform various clerical and administrative functions as needed.

 

Qualifications

 

  • 3 - 5 Years of office-based Customer Service experience.
  • Top-notch professionalism and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills / Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Ability to be assertive and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to recognize trends in data.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (~ 5%); a valid driver's license is required.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Work experience within the Service/Warranty and/or Customer Experience fields.
  • Exposure to the Window & Door Industry.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, such as field measurements, CAD drawings, and product manuals.

Additional Information:

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $60,000 USD - $80,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
