Position Summary

Moore Regional Hospital’s pharmacy team seeks a dedicated professional to assist inpatient pharmacists in preparing medications, managing drug inventory, and ensuring safe and efficient medication management services that enhance the patient experience.

 

Are you a detail-oriented pharmacy technician looking to make a real impact in healthcare? Do you have a special knack for details and wish to help fulfill FirstHealth’s mission “to Care for People”?  A great work ethic, strong communication & people skills and computer literacy are essential qualities for the successful candidate along with solid math skills (high school level).  This is a full time position with rotating shifts and an every other weekend requirement.


Responsibilities

FirstHealth’s inpatient pharmacy technicians perform a wide range of tasks that include, but are not limited to:

  • sterile compounding
  • non-sterile drug compounding
  • pharmacy inventory duties (stocking, rotation of stock, outdate checking, etc.)
  • medication distribution
  • preparing patient-specific medications
  • stocking and inventory management of Omnicell automated drug cabinets
  • emergency drug kit preparation

Qualifications

Qualifications (required):

  • high school diploma or GED
  • eligibility to obtain PTCB technician certification within one year
  • computer literacy
  • great personality and ability to get along well with others
  • desire to serve internal customers and patients
  • hearing acuity
  • visual acuity
  • manual dexterity

 

Qualifications (preferred):

  • pharmacy technician experience
  • hospital inpatient pharmacy technician experience strongly preferred
