SUMMARY:

This position is the Lead Retail Associate in the Pinehurst Gift Shop.  The primary purpose of this position is to lead and train retail sales staff in giving exemplary customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked and well organized Shop.  In addition, this position will be the direct contact for the Coffee Shop for their Sundry Needs.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of retail experience.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet guests and provide excellent customer service.
  • Work with Retail Operations Manager and Retail Operations Supervisor on training and mentoring all new retail employees who will work in the Gift Shop.
  • Communicate with Retail Warehouse on all restocking needs by using the set inventory par levels.
  • Communicate with buying team on product needs that are not warehoused.
  • Maintain a restock report on all Sundries and OTC Medications and send requests for fill in product to the buying team.
  • Work with the Pinehurst Coffee Shop to maintain their OTC Medication product needs.
  • Coordinate with retail warehouse regarding damaged product or items that need to be retagged.
  • Participate in all Gift Shop inventories and recounts.
  • Participate in the basic recovery of the sales floor and adhere to merchandising standards to maintain a clean, neat and easy to shop environment.
  • Develop new ideas to drive sales through merchandise, contests, and events.
  • Must be proficient in the use of our POS System.
  • Understand Sales Goals and help to achieve set goals each period.
  • Cross train and assist in all retail needs of the Links Shop and other retail locations as needed.
  • Maintain all needs for supplies – shopping bags, gift cards, cleaning supplies, etc.

 

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Also, must be able read and have the ability to see different areas in shop from register and ability to distinguish colors of merchandise.
