Overview

Description:

Facilitates data abstraction and clinical quality review for various disease processes and regulatory standards.   Daily use/navigation of the electronic medical record and data collection tools like Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.   Active participation in regulatory surveys.

 

Qualifications:

The following qualifications, or equivalents, are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.  

 

Education/formal training/licensure/certification experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in nursing with appropriate certification and licensure preferred.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required.
  • Must have current North Carolina license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

 

Additional skills:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills. Proficient in software applications and ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, fax machines, etc. 

  • Working knowledge of clinical practice patterns
  • Ability to facilitate teams
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Knowledge and skills in statistical and nonstatistical tools
