The Observation RN position is in a 24-bed unit that provides high-quality care for patients requiring active management during a short stay of 8 to 48 hours.
Candidates must hold a valid NC RN License or a Compact State RN License and have experience in nursing.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is required within five years of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required for this role.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Overview

Observation RN

Observation Unit is a 24-bed rapid paced, medical, and surgical unit that provides high quality care for patients who require active and focused management during an expected length of stay between 8 and 48 hours. The unit focuses on managing patients such as chest pain, CHF, TIA and specific surgical patients according to evidence based, diagnosis specific protocols based.

Qualifications

RN with Valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required. Experience required.BLS required.

To develop and maintain a highly educated registered nursing staff to meet the present and future demands of the nursing profession, employees who begin employment with FirstHealth of the Carolinas in a position that requires a registered nurse must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree within five (5) years of their employment date.
