What will you do as a Staff Painter

The Staff Painter is responsible for maintaining the appearance and protective finishes of the clinic’s interior and exterior surfaces. This role supports a safe, clean, and professional healthcare environment by performing painting, wall repair, and finishing tasks while adhering to healthcare safety standards, and organizational policies. May require work on evenings or weekends to avoid disruption to patient care.

A day in the life of a Staff Painter may include:

  • Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, trim, and equipment.
  • Perform surface preparation including patching drywall, removing wallpaper, sanding, priming, and plaster repair.
  • Match and mix paints to maintain consistent finishes across the facility.
  • Maintain and repair painted surfaces in patient care areas, offices, hallways, and common areas.
  • Protect furniture, equipment, and flooring before painting activities.
  • Coordinate work to minimize disruption to patient care and clinic operations.
  • Safely operate ladders, lifts, and painting equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of paint, supplies, and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA regulations and facility policies.
  • Assist Facilities/Maintenance team with related building maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Document completed work orders in the facility maintenance system.
  • Being a key piece in the PMC mission by providing the highest quality of care to our patients and the communities we serve. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional painting experience preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, commercial, or institutional facilities preferred.

Shift: Day Shift; may require after hours or weekends
Pay Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
