Overview

Provides onsite clinical support for employer‑based wellness initiatives, including biometric screening events, health fairs, and mobile wellness programs. Works independently and as part of an event team to deliver high‑quality, efficient, and participant‑focused screenings in non‑traditional clinical environments while maintaining safety, accuracy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct onsite biometric screenings and health assessments, including vital signs, height/weight, BMI, blood pressure, and point‑of‑care testing (e.g., lipid panels, glucose, A1c) according to program protocols.
  • Collect general health histories and screening information accurately while preparing participants for biometric services in a fast‑paced event environment.
  • Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of screening results using electronic systems or event‑specific data collection tools, maintaining HIPAA compliance in open or shared spaces.
  • Maintain confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI) by adapting HIPAA principles to onsite screening settings, including verbal communication, screen visibility, and paper/electronic records.
  • Prepare, clean, transport, and properly maintain mobile screening equipment and supplies, ensuring all safety checks and infection prevention standards are followed before, during, and after events.
  • Assist with event set‑up and breakdown, ensuring screening stations are organized, safe, and efficient.
  • Demonstrate efficiency in participant flow management to support timely completion of screenings while maintaining quality and participant satisfaction.
  • Provide clear, professional communication and general wellness education consistent with program guidelines; escalate abnormal findings per established protocols.
  • Recognize participant distress or emergent concerns and respond appropriately according to event escalation procedures.
  • Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements, troubleshooting onsite challenges, and adapting workflows to meet event needs.
  • Exhibit strong customer service and interpersonal skills, fostering a welcoming and supportive experience for participants.
  • Maintain chain‑of‑custody awareness and quality control for specimens, testing devices, and results, as applicable.
  • Understand ethical, regulatory, and compliance considerations related to onsite wellness screenings, including fraud and abuse awareness and scope‑of‑practice boundaries.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program with one of the following:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
    • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
    • North Carolina Paramedic or AEMT
  • Previous experience in:
    • Clinical care, health screenings, occupational health, wellness events, or mobile healthcare environments preferred
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in non‑traditional settings
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Comfort with technology and electronic documentation
  • Flexible availability, including early mornings and variable worksite locations
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repeated screening activities
