The Temporary Engineering Technician will support the Equipment Standards team with golf testing and research initiatives. This role involves hands-on technical work, data management, and collaboration with golf facilities, requiring frequent travel. The ideal candidate is a skilled golfer, with experience in golf performance and technology, with strong communication skills.
What you'll do:- Conduct local and remote golf player testing, including data collection and analysis.
- Perform TrackMan launch monitor testing with amateur golfers.
- Support TrackMan Mega System testing at USGA Championships.
- Maintain, organize, and ship test equipment.
- Manage and archive test data systematically.
- Coordinate with golf facilities for site selection and scheduling of testing sessions.
- Utilize basic mechanical tools for equipment maintenance and testing.

What you bring:
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in both independent and team settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in golf and technical content.
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
- Experience with golf launch monitors such as TrackMan, GC Quad, or similar systems is a plus
- Highly skilled golfer with an in-depth understanding of golf performance and technology is a plus

Salary Range: $25-27/hour
The annual base salary range for this position is $25-27/hour. This range represents what we reasonably expect to pay as starting base compensation for this role. Compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including skill set, depth of experience, and relevant certifications. In addition to your base compensation, the USGA provides competitive benefit offerings for all full-time employees.
