The ideal candidate that we are looking for is desiring long term employment.  They must be a friendly, responsible, organized individual who enjoys working with the public and has strong communication skills.  This individual welcomes patients, answers telephones calls in a knowledgeable and professional manor and manages the priorities in this fast paced, growing ENT practice.  

 
     Candidate Expectations for Front Desk Representative: 

  • Welcome and greet patients and visitors 
  • Answer a large volume of calls daily
  • Schedule Appointments 
  • Assist patients with understanding their insurance benefits 
  • Enter and maintain accurate records in the electronic health record system.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care and billing processes.
  • Support the department with any additional tasks as needed.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, deposits and post payments.  
  • Attention to detail and organization abilities.  Problem solve.
  • Dependable, punctual attendance 
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
  • Capable of working in a fast paced, high pressure, high volume  work space
  • Able to sit for long periods of time
Experience/Qualification:
 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; advanced education in healthcare administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 years experience in medical background
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered demeanor.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. (Eclincial Works preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
