Pinon Unified School District, a leading primary/secondary education provider, is seeking a Exceptional Student Service Bus Monitor to ensure the safety and well-being of children during their transportation to and from school. As a Bus Monitor, you will have the chance to play an integral role in the educational experience of our students. Pinon Unified School District has a rich history of providing quality education to our community, and we are excited to welcome a new member to our team.


Responsibilities
  • Assist the bus driver in maintaining a safe and orderly bus environment.
  • Monitor the behavior of students and report any incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Ensure that students are following all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records for each student.
  • Provide first aid assistance when necessary.
  • Communicate with parents and school administrators about any issues that arise during transportation.
  • Keep the interior of the bus clean and free from clutter.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with children of all ages.
  • Knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move around the bus for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and physical test.
