Job Description:

Position Overview

  •  We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Sales Engineer with 12+ years of expertise across cloud data platforms, data engineering, analytics, and solution architecture. This role combines deep technical delivery experience with strong pre-sales, client advisory, and deal-shaping capabilities.

  •  

    The ideal candidate must have implemented at least two end to end data management solutions (ex: modernization, customer 360, data products) on GCP tech stack, snowflake or Databricks. They should have integrated data from leading ERP/CRM like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce as well as unstructured data sources like PDF, JPG etc.

  •  

    You will work closely with sales, consulting, and engineering teams to design high-impact data solutions and guide clients through their cloud and analytics transformation journeys.

     

     

    Key Responsibilities

     

     

    Rapid Prototyping and Partner sales engineering

  •  

    Ability to discover, ideate and build rapid prototypes independently on GCP or hybrid data stacks.

  • Ability to demonstrate and articulate value of the solutions using show and tell approach.
  • Ability to work with marketing team to put together the demo script and help create marketing videos that can be published on various social channels.
  • Ability to work with partner account executives and solution architects to drive new logo acquisition.
  • Ability to present to technical and executive audience in webinars, events or conferences and be the technical brand ambassador for the firm.

     

     

    Trusted Technical Ally to the Client

  •  

    Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives—translating business strategy into technical solutions and roadmaps.

  • Lead discovery workshops with business and IT stakeholders to capture requirements and define solution approaches.
  • Evaluate and propose the best of breed enterprise data architecture, modernization patterns, emerging trends on data product implementation on preferred tech stack.
  • Ability to perform architecture reviews, troubleshoot performance issues, and validate technical solutions.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and technical narratives for proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and client presentations.

     

     

    Innovation, Startup mindset and Domain Expertise

  •  

    Ability to imagine art of the possible in evolving technology landscape for next 3 to 5 years

  • Ability to be a citizen AI developer to design, build and utilize AI tools for day to day data engineering, data analytics and AI ready data apps
  • Understanding of open data initiatives, common information data models for retail, finance and health care domains
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing data solutions for key enterprise functions like supply chain, finance etc.
  • Contribute to technical white papers, partner solution blogs, community speaking sessions etc.
  • Agile and startup mindset to build and deliver outcomes to clients quickly and efficiently

     

     

    Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

  •  

    Build solution architectures that balance business outcomes, technical feasibility, and commercial viability.

  • Architect scalable data platforms on GCP using Big Query, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Data proc, Cloud Storage, Composer, Looker, and related services.
  • Design end-to-end solutions including ingestion, processing, transformation, modelling, orchestration, and consumption layers.
  • Incorporate Snowflake, Databricks, or hybrid architectures where beneficial.
  • Contribute and maintain the playbooks for sales, pursuit and delivery of lakehouse and analytics development life cycle
  • Provide modernization strategies for legacy data warehouses, ETL platforms, and analytics environments.

     

     

    Data Governance & Data Management

  •  Define frameworks for data governance, including metadata management, data quality, lineage, access controls, and stewardship models.

  • Experience with governance and catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Atlan, Alation, Informatica, or cloud-native equivalents).
  • Advise clients on implementing enterprise-wide governance operating models and policies.
  • Integrate governance with data platform architectures to ensure compliant, trusted data environments.

     

     

    BI, Analytics & Visualization

  •  

    Experience designing consumption layers using tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or other modern BI platforms.

  • Define semantic models, dashboards, KPI frameworks, and self-service analytics patterns.
  • Partner with business teams to ensure analytics solutions meet usability, performance, and functional needs.

     

     

    Qualifications

  • 12+ years in data engineering, data architecture, analytics, or cloud-based data solutions.
  • 8+ years in GCP data architecture with deep knowledge of core GCP analytics components.
  • End to End implementation experience of two complex data modernization programs from presales to production go live
  • Ability to jointly or independently drive and influence revenue growth of $1M-$5M
  • Proven experience in pursuit life cycle management from initiation to Orals
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and executive-level presentation skills.

     

     

    Preferred certifications:

    • Google Professional Data Engineer / Cloud Architect
    • Snowflake Snow Pro certifications
    • Databricks Data Engineer or Architect certifications
