  • Summary:Compound formulas accurately according to instructions ensuring the best methodology is utilized based upon the particular product or mix. 
  • Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Follow all manufacturing instructions on formula batch record using proper compounding techniques to ensure product quality.
    • Follow all personal and product safety procedures compliant with Robertet standards.
    • Possess and apply working knowledge of all pumps, mixers, scales, fork trucks, high density storage units, meters, and computers.
    • Possess the ability to operate processing equipment such as homogenizers and heating and chilling vessels. 
    • Perform a variety of duties including the blending, mixing, heating, chilling, filtering, and dissolving products to create a flavor.
    • Dispense flavors into various size packages per direction or Sales Order.
    • Work according to schedules and to production standards.
    • Gather, inspect, and verify ingredients for the processing steps.
    • Log and record all batch information in Batch Metrics and utilizing Oracle EBS system for inventory control and transfer.
    • Adhere to schedules provided by supervision with respect to training, scheduled cleaning, and routine inspections.
    • Communicate issues (equipment, raw material quality, etc.) to supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Actively participate in Food Safety Quality Observation Program. 
    • Comply with good manufacturing practices and Robertet SOP’s ensuring compliance to SQF and regulatory standards.
  • Position Requirements :
  • Required:
    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • 1+ year(s) forklift experience.
    • 1+ year(s) of food manufacturing experience or relative industry.

    Preferred:

    1+ year(s) of liquid compounding experience.

  • Ability to frequently communicate with co-workers of varying expertise in a professional demeanor and exchange information accurately.
  • Ability to perform fundamental math skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division), and the ability to do conversions (lbs. to kgs and lbs. to gals).
  • Demonstrate ability to read documents written in Standard English text (e.g., administrative policy manuals, manufacturing instructions, etc.).

  5. Work Environment :Job will generally be performed in the manufacturing plant. When on the plant floor it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, objects on the floor, constant movement, and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eye wear and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.
  6. Physical Demands:Ability to wear PPE, including but not limited to respirators. Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Must be able to operate forklifts and other equipment to the job functions.  Must be able to see and distinguish differences between labels.
