Overview
Account Ownership — Serve as the main liaison between Menards and internal teams (sales, supply chain, logistics, planning, product development, finance, and marketing).
Sales Growth & Business Management — Manage and grow existing business by anticipating customer needs, identifying opportunities, and delivering highquality customer service.
Forecasting & Inventory Management — Maintain accurate forecasts, monitor sales trends, and partner with planning teams to ensure appropriate inventory levels and DC availability.
Line Review Preparation — Prepare and deliver line review materials, including
pricing, margin analysis, competitive insights, and product presentations.
SKU Maintenance — Manage SKU setup, maintenance, transitions, and
discontinuations in both Menards and American Standard systems.
Promotional & Program Support — Develop and support promotional opportunities in partnership with marketing, product development, and merchant teams.
Operational Excellence — Monitor fines, shipping performance, damage rates, and compliance metrics; partner with internal teams to reduce issues and improve execution.
Communication & FollowThrough — Provide timely updates, accurate information, and complete communication to internal and external partners.
Relationship Building — Build strong, trustbased relationships with Menards merchants and internal stakeholders through consistency, clarity, and proactive engagement.
Issue Resolution — Identify problems early, propose solutions, and coordinate
crossfunctional alignment to resolve customer or operational issues.
Data Accuracy & Reporting — Maintain accurate reporting, dashboards, and documentation to support business decisions and visibility.
Responsibilities
The Leader, Sales – Menards is responsible for managing and growing the American Standard
business within the Menards retail channel. This role serves as the primary point of contact for
the Menards merchant team and internal crossfunctional partners, ensuring strong
communication, accurate execution, and consistent followthrough. The Leader will support line
reviews, SKU transitions, promotional planning, forecasting, and daily business management to
drive sales, margin, and operational excellence.
Success in this role requires strong organization, attention to detail, proactive communication,
and the ability to build trust through consistent, reliable execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
3–7 years of experience in account management, retail sales, or bigbox home center
support.
Strong skills in communication, organization, problemsolving, and relationship
management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and followthrough.
Proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Applications; SAP experience preferred.
Comfortable working crossfunctionally and acting as a business partner to both internal teams and Menards.
“Handson” work philosophy with a focus on ownership, autonomy, and proactive
execution. Located in the Wisconsin or surrounding area preferred.
Hiring Range
The hiring range for remote hires is: $100,000- $120,000 per year.
Salary offer to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual Sales Incentive plan of 24 %.
