The Event Team at The Cliffs Hotel & Spa is continuously growing and expanding! We are seeking a gracious, thoughtful, and motivated part-time Banquet & Events Server who can create a sense of luxury while executing guest events. We look forward to connecting with you!

Position Summary: The Banquet & Events Server is to ensure guest satisfaction of all who attend banquet functions at the Cliffs Hotel and Spa. Going above and beyond, as needed, to create a unique experience for our guests.

Essential Functions of the Job:

To set-up, break-down, clean-up all event functions (Tables, Chairs, Linen, AV, Umbrellas, Etc.)
Serve & Bus all Event Food & Beverage (Buffets, Plated Meals, Tray Passed Food, Etc.)
To demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service
Learn to read BEO's and prioritize tasks
Follow Cliffs Standards of Excellence
Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management and co-workers
Adjust to changing needs and priorities
Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand/move continuously for the duration of the shift (eight hours).
Regular heavy lifting required (50 pounds or more). Ability to carry service trays.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in high stress situations.
Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects

Education, Experience, Skills:

Customer Service Experience
Food & Beverage Experience, Preferred
Excellent Command of English language
Energetic/Motivated/Reliable/Adaptable/Responsible/Efficient/Committed/Friendly
Responsible Beverage Service Certified
