Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for assisting in the setting up and operating of machine tools to produce precision parts.


Required Qualifications/Experiences:

· Attention to detail and initiative to be self-motivated and directed.

· Ability to listen, follow directions and communicate effectively.

· 2 years’ experience operating machines such as saws, routers, shapers, grinders, etc.

· Interact in a professional manner with people.

· Must have extensive working knowledge of current fabrication procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Maintain condition, functionality and always use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

· Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or Vernier calipers.

· Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers or grinders.

· Set up, adjust or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.

· Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.

· Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories or materials onto machines.

· Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine material requirements or assembly instructions.

· Communicate with supervisors to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.

· Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.

· Stack and count materials as necessary

· Operate multi machine if required

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Demands:

· Standing, walking, bending, kneeling and/or sitting for long periods of time

· Climbing ladders to reach ceilings and other high objects

· Push/Pull/Lift/Moving 50 pounds repeatedly

· Working in adverse weather conditions


First shift: 6am-4:30pm; Monday-Thursday
