Mercy Hospital Pittsburgh ARU unit is a 12 bed inpatient Hospital located in Pittsburgh, KS. With an A grade in hospital safety from the Leapfrog Group, all private rooms and a CMS three-star rating, we help patients feel secure knowing our commitment to their dignity, safety, comfort and recovery. Our ARU Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow!

 

 

What we’re looking for: We are looking for a dynamic Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) who is passionate about helping others and is a team player!

What you will do in this role:

 

Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.

Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.

Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.

Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.

Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

Ensure compliance with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 

· Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.

· Current CPR certification

· Strong organizational and communication skills
