Job Description : 

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Coordinates multi-physician schedule, acts as liaison and coordinator between physicians and key contacts, assists in ensuring implementation of Board policies.  Complies fully with the philosophies and procedures as set forth by Allegheny Health Network.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains multi-physician master schedule; coordinates & tracks vacations, holidays, weekend call, and night rotations.
  • Creates actual day schedule with physician assignments, adjusts as necessary and ensures there are no conflicts.
  • Coordinates non-patient appointments including speaking engagements and conferences.  Assists with registrations and travel arrangements.
  • Assists in implementing Board / Corporate policies as directed and complies recommendations to the Board Operations Committee.
  • Responsible for final copy of malpractice applications.
  • Supervises overall performance of staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

Preferred

  • Prior scheduling experience
