This is a hands-on accounting role for someone who is detail-oriented, organized and service-minded and who takes pride in getting the numbers right. The Accountant will manage a range of day-to-day accounting functions, contribute to month-end close and financial reporting, support audits and grant reporting, and work closely with colleagues across the organization.
This role also provides administrative support to the Executive Management Team, making this an opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to play an important role in the day-to-day operations of a mission-driven organization.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including weekly accounts payable processing.

- Reconcile credit card purchases to monthly statements.
- Maintain the petty cash fund.
- Assist with the timely and accurate month-end financial close.
- Prepare financial and departmental reports as needed.

Reporting, Compliance & Planning
- Assist with internal and external audit preparation and coordination.
- Support the Vice President, Finance and Administration in maintaining compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Gather and report historical financial data to support budget planning.
- Assist with preparation of grant budgets and grant reporting.
- Work with departments across PCBC to ensure revenue is properly identified and recorded.
- Prepare 1099s and other required financial forms.
- Assist with tax filings and other regulatory requirements.
Administration & Organizational Support
- Purchase supplies and equipment as authorized.
- Monitor office supply levels and coordinate reordering.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to management as needed.
- Help improve the efficiency and accuracy of financial and administrative processes.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is careful with the details, dependable with deadlines and comfortable taking ownership of their work. You should enjoy working with numbers but also enjoy working with people.
You bring:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Excellent data entry and analytical skills.
- A customer-focused, service-oriented approach.
