Benefits Coordinators Corporation (BCC) is a third-party employee benefits administrator and a leader in developing services designed to help our clients run more effective employee benefit programs. We have been experiencing growth and are currently adding a Benefits Administrator to the team. In practice, the core activities of the job include:
- Billing and administrative functions of Active, Retiree and COBRA benefits plans
- Process enrollments, update carriers, handle status changes, and process documentation of insurability and carrier follow-ups
- Analyze, interpret, and troubleshoot data across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Strengths and skills necessary for success in the role:
- Previous experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook will be helpful
- 1–2 years related office experience preferred
- Prior benefits experience is preferred, however not required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail paired with the ability to think critically and solve problems
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, troubleshoot issues, and work through complex information
Additional context about the role:
This is not a transactional data entry position. The Benefits Administrator must be a critical thinker who can evaluate information and ask the right questions. The role requires navigating complex benefit scenarios, resolving discrepancies, and working proactively rather than simply entering data.
