Essential Functions:Â Â Â
Â
- Maintain all public areas and guestrooms on an on-going basis (corner guards, locks, windows, doors, furniture.)
Â
- Keep the hotel decor in good condition.
Â
- Clean all work areas after completing job.
Â
- Fill out daily work orders.
Â
- Have the knowledge and ability to use the proper equipment and tools.
Â
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.
Â
- Have a thorough understanding of Omni Hotels rules and regulations.
Â
Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

- Provide service per request on BEO
- Maintain Hard Key & Lock System (BEST)
Â
Tools and Equipment:
Â
- Telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,
Â
Working Environment:
Â
- Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Â
- Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Â
- Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying Â
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying required frequently to respond to requests for service and repairs anywhere in hotel or in parking lot

Bending/Kneeling
- Frequent bending and/or kneeling required to inspect and repair

Mobility
- 100% mobility required - must respond quickly to emergency

Continuous Standing
- No continuous standing

Climbing
- Stairs - up to approximately 90 steps 20% of each day (approximately 8 hours)
- Ladder – up to approximately 8 feet 10% of each day (approximately 8 hours)

- No driving required

- Inside 90% of work period (approximately 8 hours)
- Outside 10% of work period (approximately 8 hours)
- 5 –95 degrees

Hearing/Vision/Speech/Literacy
- Hearing is critical (To hear portable radio, fire alarms, machinery, guests)
- Vision is critical (Inspect, maintain equipment)
- Speech is critical (Must respond on portable radio to base station, guests)
- Literacy is critical (Maintain logs and records)

Chemical/Agents Used
- Some use of paint, pool chemicals, oil, pesticides
