Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer (Entry-Level). While you will be based out of our Pittsburgh, PA office, we offer hybrid flexibility. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R’s market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans.
- Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations.
- Erosion and sediment control design.
- Stormwater management calculations.
- Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design.
- Infiltration Testing.
- AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:
- Creating 3-D surfaces
- Grading plans
- Profiles/cross-sections
- Pipe networks and corridors
- Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Engineer In Training license.
- 0 to 3 years of civil engineering experience.
- EIT a plus.
- Schooling and/or work experience in the following is a plus:
- Hydrology and hydraulics
- Erosion and sediment controls
- Stormwater management controls
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
