Job DetailsJob Location: PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh, PA 15222Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 Salary/yearConstruction Manager – Western PA Region Pittsburgh, PA  Transportation + Infrastructure  Growth-Focused Role Urban is expanding in Western Pennsylvania, and we’re looking for a Construction Manager who’s excited to shape the future of our CM/CI practice. This is a high‑impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of field leadership, technical problem‑solving, and client engagement. You’ll work on some of the region’s most complex and meaningful transportation and infrastructure projects — highways, bridges, transit systems, and public facilities — while helping us grow our presence in the Pittsburgh market and beyond.   What You’ll Do You’ll be a trusted leader on active construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction while keeping work on schedule and on budget. Your day-to-day will include: Project & Field Leadership •             Monitor project performance, including cost, schedule, and claims issues •             Lead or support project meetings and prepare clear, actionable meeting minutes •             Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents •             Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and testing documentation Technical Oversight •             Perform constructability reviews and evaluate shop drawings and catalog cut sheets •             Manage RFIs, submittal logs, and outstanding issues •             Review and facilitate pay estimates and change orders •             Analyze unforeseen conditions and support claim avoidance and resolution Client & Stakeholder Engagement •             Serve as a key point of contact for clients, designers, inspectors, utilities, and agencies •             Communicate proactively with contractors and clients to keep work progressing smoothly •             Support public outreach efforts when needed Documentation & Quality •             Prepare project correspondence and progress reports •             Maintain databases, digital libraries, and project documentation •             Conduct quality control reviews and ensure all deliverables meet standards Practice Growth & Business Development •             Support proposal development and client presentations •             Contribute to recruiting, hiring, and mentoring CI staff •             Help shape and expand Urban’s CM/CI practice in the Pittsburgh Region     QualificationsQualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Construction Management or related field is preferred Minimum 10 years of experience in construction management and/or inspection on PennDOT projects Preferred Professional Engineer License or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Familiarity with scheduling software Strong computer skills, excellent in in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Valid driver’s license required.
