Description

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking Full-Time Grant Writer to join the Marketing & Development Department. 


The Grant Writer position carries out responsibilities of grants administration within the Development department at The Children’s Home.


This position is an integral and central part of the office, working with all positions within the department, and reports to the Director of Development.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, fundraising, nonprofit management, or other related field 

2. Experience working or volunteering for a nonprofit organization required

3. Understanding and knowledge of principles and strategies of nonprofit development

4. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment

5. Able to work independently and act diplomatically

6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of individuals required

7. Strong time management practices required

8. Able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously

9. Knowledge of best practices in grant writing, technical and persuasive writing preferred
