Job Description

By joining PNC’sĀ Independent Risk Management (IRM)Ā Development Program, youĀ areĀ joiningĀ a part of a highly competitive 12-month program that will allowĀ you toĀ explore your potential through hands-on experience in a professional environment.Ā This is an excellent opportunity to begin exploring your career goals, in addition to growing your skills in key areas. The goal of PNC’sĀ IRMĀ Development Program is to develop associates to be able to assess andĀ identifyĀ risks that could impede the strategy, reputation, operations, or financial success of the organization.Ā 

During thisĀ 12-monthĀ rotational program,Ā associates work withĀ risk managementĀ professionals toĀ maintainĀ PNC’s emphasisĀ on effective risk management while adhering toĀ theĀ enterprise risk appetite.Ā Associates willĀ engage inĀ aĀ collaborative environment,Ā gaining hands-on experienceĀ with theĀ key components ofĀ PNC’sĀ risk framework. Your involvement willĀ include activitiesĀ such asĀ dataĀ analysis and metrics, policy and proceduresĀ development,Ā research, communications,Ā reporting, and participation in meetings with key regulatory stakeholders.Ā 

The programĀ containsĀ fourĀ rotationsĀ includingĀ an Enterprise Risk or an Operational RiskĀ rotation,Ā as well as having an opportunity to rotate through any of the areas below. This willĀ provide exposure to different areas within IRMĀ and acrossĀ PNC.

Required Education and Experience:Ā Ā

As an associate in theĀ IRMĀ development program:.Ā Ā 

  • Performs orĀ assistsĀ with the core activities of the group by applying knowledge learned to drive business results (e.g., process support, internal or external customer interaction, or supporting internal projects).Ā Works underĀ supervision andĀ may have limited approval and/or exception authority.Ā 

  • Participates in social learning within the organization (e.g.,Ā identifiesĀ and networks with business representatives and peers,Ā participatesĀ in mentoring, jobĀ shadowingĀ and community outreach projects).Ā 

  • Participates in formal learning (e.g., classroom, web-based or virtual) and completes related activities and projects.Ā 

  • Supports the internal and external customer experience byĀ always providing excellent service; takes accountability and ensures problem resolution.Ā
