A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory Technician (Inventory)

A typical day for the Laboratory Technician includes daily checks for ordering requests, equipment, and temperature monitoring, and handling projects related to the success of the inventory department. Tasks for this role are varied in support of the laboratory site's success, including collaboration, coordination, and understanding of several departments onsite, both inside and outside of the laboratory. Candidates with strong skill sets in organization, data entry, LIMS, time management, problem-solving, communication, and Excel will be best suited for this role. This role will spend the most time creating and tracking purchase orders, reviewing and adjusting par levels, and communicating with vendors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or enrolled in college classes with excellent GPA
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and EXCEL
  • Proven flexibility and dependable performance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MLT (AA) recommended, not required
  • No work experience required; experience in a laboratory setting preferred
