Join our team as a Full-Time Lead Data Coordinator & Analyst!

UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh is hiring a Lead Data Coordinator & Analyst to support our Transplant Services team. The Lead Data Coordinator & Analyst will provide leadership through education and oversight of department data coordinators by gathering, entering, and ensuring the accuracy of data. They will work closely with internal and external customers to ensure data is accurate and in compliance with regulatory standards. This position will work Monday through Friday, daylight shifts.

This position will offer the ability to work a hybrid schedule after an orientation period.  Scheduling can be discussed during the interview.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update departmental databases with accurate, verified data
  • Supervise data coordinators; manage dashboards and executive reports
  • Document departmental procedures and regulatory resources
  • Coordinate QA/PI data with Quality Improvement Specialist for timeliness and accuracy
  • Run weekly/monthly QC checks to ensure data integrity
  • Submit confirmation and audit reports promptly
  • Safeguard data confidentiality through robust control measures
  • Support special projects with research, analysis, and reporting
  • Maintain manual and digital filing systems, including confidential documentation
  • Participate in professional development through trainings and workshops


  • Bachelor's degree in Health related field, Information Systems or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience as a data coordinator
  • Computer knowledge required.  Strong Excel skills preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • Excellent Time Management Skills


Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

  • Act 31, 33, 34, & 73 with renewal
