Position Overview

Benshaw is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring production machinery to produce high-quality components for our motor control and industrial automation products. This role requires a strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machinery, tools, and equipment according to established procedures and production schedules.

  • Monitor machine performance during operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.

  • Perform inspections of finished products to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards.

  • Complete required production documentation, including work orders, inspection logs, and equipment checklists.

  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance staff.

  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.

  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the manufacturing process to provide flexibility and support to the team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.

  • Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or industrial environment is a plus.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic math skills and ability to use measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one preferred.

  • Ability to stand, lift (up to 50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
