TheĀ RegionalĀ AccountĀ Manager,Ā AHUS/HSCT-TMAĀ position is within ourĀ RareĀ Hematology and Nephrology Franchise, a division of Alexion,Ā AstraZeneca Rare Disease andĀ will focus onĀ aHUSĀ and the potential launch of HSCT-TMA. This role will beĀ assigned toĀ a territory focused on major academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, community institutions, and other priority sites of care. TheĀ RegionalĀ Account Manager,Ā AHUS/HSCT-TMAĀ will drive adoption of AlexionāsĀ aHUSĀ and HSCT-TMAĀ through⯠ field sales execution, compliant clinical education, and account-specific pull-through activities. As aĀ RegionalĀ Account Manager,Ā AHUS/HSCT-TMAĀ youāllĀ build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals across your territory.Ā YouāllĀ represent AlexionāsĀ aHUSĀ andĀ assignedĀ newĀ indications, helping providers understand our therapies and how they support patients with rare nephrological conditions.Ā

Territory:Ā Must live within the geographyĀ or up to 25 miles from the territory border in limited circumstancesĀ Ā

You will:Ā
Consistently achieve or exceedĀ sales objectivesĀ in assigned territoryĀ and for assigned indicationsĀ
Develop and executeĀ disease-specificĀ salesĀ account plans for major academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, community accounts, and other priority sites of care; map stakeholders, patient journeys, diagnostic workflows, referral pathways, and accountĀ factors that influence therapy adoptionĀ
IdentifyĀ gaps in diagnostic workflows, referral pathways, operational readiness,Ā clinicalĀ protocol adoption, and stakeholder alignment; implement solutions to optimizeĀ appropriate therapyĀ adoptionĀ
Drive clinical advocacy and education by building relationships with account stakeholders and developing clinical champions across hematology, hem/onc, internal medicine, nephrology, transplant, pharmacy,Ā clinicalĀ administration, and other relevant specialtiesĀ
Deliver approved clinical messaging to influence brand choice, supportĀ appropriate formularyĀ access, and educate clinical stakeholders on disease state, unmet needs, diagnostic criteria, and therapy integrationĀ
SupportĀ accountĀ stakeholderĀ understanding of operational considerations related to therapy implementation, including treatmentĀ workflow, pharmacy, infusion, andĀ other site-of-care processes, and engageĀ appropriate internalĀ partners when broader institutional action is neededĀ
Educate onĀ fulfillment processes, payer access policies, reimbursement frameworks, and common account-wide operationalĀ barriers related to prior authorization,Ā accessĀ resourcesĀ and support.Ā
Mobilize cross-functional teams, including SAL(s), FRM(s), PEM(s), TLL(s), MSL(s), Market Access, Diagnostics, and enterprise partners, to deliver on accountĀ objectivesĀ and resolve barriersĀ
Represent customer priorities internally and advocate for solutions that address account-specific needs whileĀ maintainingĀ appropriate roleĀ boundariesĀ
Create andĀ maintainĀ accountĀ and indication-specific business plans that reflect an in-depth understanding of local market forces, institution dynamics, care delivery models, access considerations, and multi-stakeholder decision-making.Ā
Handle customer questions and objections in a way that is consistent with product indications and sales trainingĀ methodology, including the ability to compliantly triage inquiries to theĀ appropriate partnerĀ
EffectivelyĀ utilizeĀ CRM tools to manage territory priorities, track account engagement, document sales activities, andĀ submitĀ required reports accurately and on time;Ā and adopt CRMĀ AI-embedded tools to prioritize opportunitiesĀ andĀ optimizeĀ call executionĀ
EffectivelyĀ useĀ AI-driven insights for territory planning, HCP targeting, and pre-call strategy;Ā translate analytics into focused customer engagement and account action plansĀ
ProvideĀ a high levelĀ of productĀ expertiseĀ and customer service across all assigned accounts, including complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and sites of careĀ
Perform work in alignment with and adhering to Alexionās Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and Alexion policies and proceduresĀ

What you bring:Ā
Bachelorās degree.Ā
5+ years of experience in specialty pharma, rare disease sales, account management, or complex institutional selling.Ā
Strong understanding of healthcare systems, reimbursement processes, fulfillment pathways, and multi-stakeholder decision-making in hospitals, academic centers, IDNs, and community care settingsĀ
Candidates shouldĀ possessĀ a provenĀ track recordĀ of navigating clinical formulary and access processes, engaging multidisciplinary stakeholders, influencing treatment pathway adoption, and drivingĀ utilizationĀ within integrated health systems, academic medical centers, and key institutional accounts.Ā
Proven ability to build relationships and influence across clinical, administrative, operational, pharmacy, and access stakeholdersĀ
Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, account management, and communication skillsĀ
Ability to understand and translate complex clinical data to activate clinical champions and build advocacy within Centers of Excellence, academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, and other sites of careĀ
Ability to navigate fulfillment, reimbursement, protocol integration, and account-wide operational barriers forĀ assignedĀ diseasesĀ
Ability to map complex patient journeys and align account plans to business objectivesĀ
Effective in coordinating cross-functional teams and managing role boundariesĀ
Must live in the geographic territory or live within 50 miles of the geographic territory borderĀ
Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis, which may include frequent overnight and weekend travelĀ
Valid driverās license and clean driving recordĀ

Preferred qualifications:Ā
Advanced or masterās degree.Ā
Experience selling in orphan or ultra-orphan disease marketsĀ
Bio/pharma experience in hematology, hem/onc, oncology, nephrology, transplant, internal medicine, or hospital-based specialty careĀ
Experience working with major academic centers, hospitals, IDNs, Centers of Excellence, and complex community networksĀ
Demonstrated success driving protocol adoption, formulary support, workflow integration, and multi-stakeholder account pull-throughĀ
