The Training Department serves a vital role within NCFTA's operations. It is both a coreÂ
service provided to NCFTA's members and a strategic function that strengthens theÂ
organization internally. Through its training department, new team members are equippedÂ
with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute effectively from the outset whileÂ
existing employees benefit from ongoing professional development.Â
The Training & Development Manager serves as the central point of contact (POC) withÂ
accountability for all NCFTA training and development activities, internally and externally.Â
Responsibilities include collaborating with the management team to identify internal andÂ
external training and development needs; developing and/or sourcing training curriculumÂ
and resources; identifying applicable industry subject matter experts; creating andÂ
executing training plans and deliverables; maintaining an accurate and current catalog ofÂ
NCFTA analytical tools and resources, serving as NCFTA POC with respect to those toolsÂ
and resources, and ensuring NCFTA personnel receive appropriate training regarding thoseÂ
tools and resources; and providing logistical support and oversight of the “analystÂ
immersion program”.  Â
As necessary, the Training & Development Manager will be required to provide directÂ
instruction to internal team members (i.e., staff and analyst development), NCFTAÂ
Members, and external audiences, as well as identify and recruit suitable internal andÂ
external NCFTA members to assist in this endeavor. This individual will be responsible forÂ
establishing new training relationships and maintaining existing relationships. The TrainingÂ
& Development Manager will also handle and execute special projects as assigned,Â
develop project plans, record achievement of project milestones, and successfullyÂ
implement special projects to completion. Â
RESPONSIBILITIES: Â
• Design and deliver high-quality training offerings that serve both external stakeholdersÂ
and internal employees.Â
•  Establish robust onboarding training for internal team members (i.e., staff and analysts)Â
geared to cultivate foundational familiarity with operational IT applications and tools,Â
administrative processes, and organizational structure.Â
• Regularly assess capabilities of available collection tools, identify new tools, and provideÂ
applicable training to internal team members.Â
• Monitor analytical tool utilization and related budgetary resources to support vendorÂ
management and contract discussionsÂ
• Assist ongoing “Brand and Consumer Protection” training initiatives (e.g., CBP PortÂ
initiative, Target Grant), and other program related training initiatives as they arise. Â Â Â
• Develop training calendars through short-and long-term planning process. Â
• Deliver, or coordinate delivery of, training and development sessions. Â
• Develop and execute communication plans for NCFTA-led (and NCFTA-assisted, asÂ
appropriate) training events including scheduling announcements, calendars, invitations,Â
evaluations, etc. Â
• Identify, coordinate, and, where appropriate, execute the administrative functionsÂ
necessary to deliver and document training and development programs, includingÂ
maintaining calendars, registrations, surveys, invoices, and budgets. Â
•Establish, maintain and update a training library accessible to internal team members.Â
• Deploy an evaluation process to collect constructive feedback on the effectiveness ofÂ
training sessions and implement applicable recommendations. Â
• Supervise and oversee NCFTA personnel engaged in training and development activities,Â
including third-party consultants, grant partners, and other participants supporting NCFTAÂ
training initiatives and special projectsÂ
• Identify and recruit NCFTA staff (or outside resources) who are subject matter experts, orÂ
who have skill sets appropriate to create and deliver training. Â
• Manage special projects, to include the “analyst immersion program” (e.g., budgetaryÂ
management, placement etc.) as assigned by the CEO or Director of Operations toÂ
successful completion. Â

QUALIFICATIONS: Â
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, military service, andÂ
professional experience.Â
• Six (6) or more years of experience in areas including but not limited to informationÂ
technology, law enforcement or intelligence or a related fieldÂ
• Demonstrated experience providing instruction to adult audiences on matters relevant toÂ
the NCFTA mission. Â
•Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite to include “Teams” and “PowerPoint”.Â
• Possesses, or will obtain recognized Instructor certification(s), including Train the TrainerÂ
course completion in relevant subject matter areas. Â
• Able to travel as needed. Â
• Ability to communicate and support the organization's mission, core values, and goals. Â
• Demonstrated experience as a cyber/fraud researcher or analyst in a law enforcement,Â
regulatory, or similar setting. Â
• Demonstrated working knowledge and understanding all applications and tools availableÂ
to perform the job and use these resources effectively, to include Microsoft 365 Suite (e.g.,Â
“Teams” and “PowerPoint”). Â
• Superior verbal and written communication abilities. Â
