Swagelok PittsburghĀ is seeking an energetic and motivated Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Specialist to join our team. Ā We provide premium fluid system componentry for our customers in a variety of industries including: Research & Development, Oil, Gas & Chemical, Power Generation, Semiconductor, Clean Energy and Biotechnology.

Our VMI Specialist fills a critical role by ensuring that our customers have adequate Swagelok inventory on site to keep their operations running. The ideal candidate will take ownership of and look to improve our current processes.Ā Engaging customers, listening for opportunities where Swagelok can provide solutions and communicating these opportunities to the Sales team is another important aspect of this role.

We provide in-depth product training to the right candidate with a ācan doā attitude. Through this training, you will also become a valued technical resource to our customers.

Responsibilities include:
- Service, maintain and set up Vendor Managed Inventories at customer locations
- Deliver VMI and other orders using company vehicle
- Coordinate daily with internal departments gathering relevant account insight to maximize effectiveness of customer visits
- Generate quotes and orders based on customer inventory levels and usage history
- Ensure accuracy of shipments to customers by reviewing delivery paperwork, abiding by customer delivery procedures and following up to confirm customer satisfaction
- Address occasional process issues when they occur such as incorrect quantities, incorrect products and back orders
- Maintain a reasonably consistent weekly schedule while making emergency visits when needed
- Keep management and sales personnel informed about customer projects, maintenance outages, and other significant interactions
- Take customer spot orders when needed and relay information to Sales or Customer Service teams
- Participate in Product Training allowing you to (eventually) provide technical assistance to customers on Swagelok products
- Provide backup assistance to warehouse personnel

What you will need to succeed at Swagelok Pittsburgh:
- A high school diploma is required
- A valid PA driverās license is required
- Bachelors/Associates Degree or Trade School experience is a plus
- Previous experience in an Industrial (B2B) environment is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work both independently and in a close team environment
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to effectively multitask and strong organizational skills
- Superior communication (verbal, written, listening) and interpersonal skills (please submit a cover letter with application)
- Strong problem solving, business acumen, and analytical skills
- Exemplify professionalism and initiative, with a āroll up your sleevesā attitude
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook & Excel)
- Experience with SAP a plus
