Position Summary:
The Adjunct Laboratory Assistant will support the delivery of human anatomy instruction in the cadaver laboratory. Working closely with faculty, the assistant will help facilitate student learning through guidance in anatomical dissection, identification of structures, and reinforcement of key concepts. This role requires strong knowledge of human anatomy, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist faculty in supervising and instructing students during cadaver lab sessions and assist with grading as needed.

·       Provide guidance in dissection techniques, anatomical orientation, and identification of structures.

·       Support student learning by answering questions, demonstrating methods, and reinforcing course content.

·       Help prepare cadaver specimens and lab materials prior to class sessions.

·       Ensure proper use of instruments, adherence to safety protocols, and respectful handling of cadaver donors.

·       Assist in maintaining lab cleanliness, organization, and specimen preservation.

·       Model professionalism, ethical conduct, and respect in the laboratory setting.

Qualifications:

·       Master’s degree in Anatomy, Biology, Health Sciences, or related field (or substantial progress toward an advanced degree).

·       Strong background in human anatomy with demonstrated cadaver dissection experience.

·       Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to collaborate with faculty and work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.

·       Commitment to ethical standards and confidentiality in working with human donors.
