REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in human services or related field and 1 year of related work experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field and 3 years’ related work experience.

  • Understanding of the issues related to homelessness, mental health, and recovery from substance abuse disorder recovery.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Valid Drivers’ License

  • Act 33/34/73 clearances

  • Pre-employment drug screen

SCHEDULE:  (non-exempt/hourly)

3 days per week 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. OR 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.

ABOUT THE ROLE:  The Housing Advocate role with Bethlehem Haven focuses on:

  • Permanent Supportive Housing Services: Helping individuals secure and maintain stable housing.

  • Income & Benefit Coordination: Assisting with financial resources and benefits.

  • Supportive Case Management & Follow-up Care: Ensuring continuity of care for those placed in housing programs.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with supervisors, colleagues, providers, and persons served.

  • Program Oversight: Managing demand and supply of services, implementing best practices, and maintaining compliance with policies and regulations
