Part-Time Optometrist – Veterans Center
The MedServ Group is a rapidly growing medical practice that provides comprehensive eye and vision care to military veterans, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of ocular diseases and visual disorders. Duties often include collaboration with healthcare teams, maintaining electronic medical records, and supporting veterans’ overall health and quality of life.

Optometrist Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations for veteran patients.
  • Diagnoses and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records and complete documentation promptly.
  • Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment compliance.
  • Follow VA policies, HIPAA regulations, and federal healthcare standards.

Optometrist Qualifications
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current state optometry license
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with veterans, geriatrics, or low-vision patients is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting

General Information
  • Part-time flexible schedule (1-2 days per month).
  • Outpatient clinic or VA medical center environment
  • Percentage Pay Option: 35% - 40% of collections (around $1050 - $1200 per visit for 25 patients)
  • Per patient Option: $40-$45 per patient (22-25 patients per visit)
  • All doctors are 1099 (independent contractors)
