What You’ll Do

  • Operate Omnicell automation systems at customer sites following SOPs and best practices.
  • Manage inventory levels and perform restocking duties.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of XR2 equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a liaison between Omnicell and the customer.

 

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active Pennsylvania (PA) State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration (if required by state)
  • An Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA CPhT or ExCPT).
  • Familiarity / Knowledge of IV Compounding.

Preferred:

  • Accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program completion.
  • 2+ years of hospital IV Compounding experience.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with automation devices.

 

Work Conditions 

  • The PRN is an On Call position to support / serve as back up for Call Ins/Sick Calls, Vacations, LOAs, etc. for our Pittsburg, PA site
  • Must be able to commute to work at this site: 320 E North Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
  • Shift: Able to be back up for either M - F / M - TH.  1st or 2nd shift.  1st shift typically 5 am to 3:30 pm ; 2nd shift 1:30 pm to 12 am. Some make-up shifts could be scheduled on a Friday or Saturday.
  • Possess flexible availabilities (i.e., PRN match well if you are currently working 7 on 7 off, PRN, Part-Timer, etc.)
  • Hospital Pharmacy Environment
  • Ability to travel for training.
  • Pharmacy environment; 8–10-hour shifts.
  • Flexible hours based on business needs.
  • Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Potential exposure to hazardous drugs.
