This role will be part of the Local 95 Union

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm.  No on-call and nights/weekends as needed.


Maintain, repair, and install mechanical, structural and electrical equipment and systems in a support role to the department journeymen level craftsmen. This position is responsible for general maintenance tasks in the various maintenance department shops, assisting other maintenance personnel with tasks, and any other tasks deemed necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a role model of service excellence for the institutions by providing quality services that are responsive to client needs, proactive in scope and accessible in nature. Using the Basics of Service Excellence as a guide, respond to the needs of individual patients, employees, department or other organizations with courtesy, respect and a positive outlook that reflects the team effort of the department.
  • Record personal work orders and submit hours to supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop areas.
  • Adheres to the Basics of Service Excellence in all interactions with clients and the public.
  • Perform all work following infection control procedures.
  • Responsible for assisting in setting-up appropriate level of infection control containment (ICRA) based on risk level and maintaining the integrity of that containment.

  • Assist with and maintain general cleaning duties on equipment and in mechanical support areas.
  • Perform specific preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment.
  • Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Completion of a trade school program is preferred.
  • Carpentry, plumbing or mechanical skills beneficial.
  • Need to have mechanical aptitude to assist various trades.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
    6 months for driver's license.
