Electrical Engineer

Overview

Provides automation, electrical engineering, technical, and process engineering support for facility and continuous process lines operations

Responsibilities

• Reviews engineering logs, production performance, and data to troubleshoot operational questions and problems.• Provides electrical and automation repairs and improvements.• Acts as a resource for quality-related items (coil research, production and engineering logs, sales questions).• Responsible for documentation such as print updates, procedures, maintenance reports, etc.• Makes improvements by modifying automation, electrical and mechanical systems as well as recommending changes to the process.• Provides engineering design, changes, implementation, and capital projects.• Act as a technical resource for operators regarding operation and functionality of equipment.• Responsible for backups and disaster recovery for drives and Level 1 systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in the design, programming and commissioning of control systems for industrial applications.• Strong project management skills• LOTOTO experience• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products• Good understanding of closed loop control systems• Two to 5 years of experience in the metals or related industry preferred (continuous process line experience is a plus)• Moderate AutoCAD proficiency• Automation and Commissioning experience preferred• Proficient in automation, AC drives, process controls
