We empower our employees to build long-lasting careers with us.    This is a hands-on, customer-focused role supporting Torrco’s Pittsfield and North Adams branches. You’ll split your time between warehouse operations and local deliveries, helping ensure our customers and sales teams have the products they need, when they need them.   What You’ll Do: Warehouse & Branch Support Receive, inspect, and stock incoming product from Torrco’s distribution center and vendors. Pick, pack, and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently. Keep warehouse and inventory areas clean, organized, and properly labeled. Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting. Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Support branch and sales team needs throughout the day. Local Deliveries Load, secure, and deliver customer orders using company box trucks and pickup trucks. Verify orders for accuracy before and during delivery. Provide friendly, professional service to customers. Obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required. Complete daily vehicle inspections and promptly report vehicle or delivery issues   What We're Looking For:   2+ years of experience in a warehouse, delivery, or similar hands-on role preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to successfully complete a DOT physical. Dependable, punctual, and committed to being part of a team. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and think on your feet. Professional, positive attitude when working with customers and coworkers. Willingness to learn, take on new responsibilities, and grow with Torrco. Because the role supports both our Pittsfield and North Adams locations, flexibility and a team-first attitude are important.   Physical demands: Position involves standing and/or sitting for long periods of time, manual dexterity, stooping, bending. Use safety equipment to move product that can be up to 100 lbs.  Warehouse and driving environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
