CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking talented professionals to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers.
The Material Coordinator will support manufacturing throughout the production process. The Coordinator will be responsible for providing the appropriate supporting build documentation as well as the timely movement of material throughout manufacturing. The Material Coordinator will also provide status updates as required.
Responsible for performing duties which may include but are not limited to:
- Print traveler, order engineering drawings and materials required to complete production or repair operations
- Receive and record parts, materials, and repair plans into system
- Verify accuracy of documentation and track material through manufacturing process, enter status in system
- Print and submit sell off documentation for naval review and approval
- Verify accuracy of part quantity and serial numbers against engineering part list for naval review and approval
- Return or request parts as necessary to correct discrepancies
- Deliver parts, materials and sub-assemblies required to complete production or repair orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Stage materials at designated station and deliver stock shortages to floor upon receipt
- Verify documentation is complete to return material to stock and damaged parts to MRB
- Respond to questions regarding production or repair order status
- Print and apply shelf life labels where applicable
- Print process packing, shipping documents where applicable
Physical, Environmental and Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, and grasp items with one and both hands on a frequent basis 40-70% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds up to 15% of the time
- Ability to perform computer data input, answer phones, respond orally and in writing to inquiries 40-70% of the time
