JOB SUMMARY: The Program Coordinator is responsible for administrative oversight of the IPAEP program as well as implementing programs performed within the Center in accordance with statutes and existing policies and procedures in compliance with the Old Colony Y Mission Statement. S/he will communicate with OCC, probation officers, parole officers as needed. S/he will reflect and display the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. and will communicate with OCC, probation officers, parole officers as needed.

 

JOB FUNCTION:

 

Program/Department Responsibility:

 

  • Oversees the day to day operations of the Center
  • Type documents and materials for the Director of the program
  • File reports, reviews, drug testing results in participant files
  • Log drug and alcohol testing results
  • Maintain appropriate forms, replenish office supplies, unit supplies, effectively use purchase orders and vouchers in accordance with Association procedures
  • Maintain accurate and efficient records, as well as record keeping/filing for the program
  • Attend supervision meetings as assigned
  • Accept responsibilities in areas other than those to which position is assigned as needed
  • Implements programs and services within the Center in accordance with statutes and existing policy and procedure
  • Ability to communicate with program participants community resources in person and by
  • Daily attendance and scheduling
  • Flexibility to include working
  • On site coordination and cooperation with other on-site service providers which may include community service staff, probation officers, parole officers, program monitors, and OCC
  • Performs center intakes, assessments and orientations
  • Facilitate groups with program participants
  • Maintains a client tracking system
  • Maintains a data collection system

 

 

Supervision of Personnel: Oversees 2 -3 IPAEP group facilitators

 

Fiscal Responsibility:  None

 

Facility/Housekeeping Responsibility: Maintain upkeep and cleanliness and ensure the security of the Center. Maintain daily upkeep and cleanliness of respective office area.

 

Interdivisional/Community/Volunteer Responsibility: Responsibility for monitoring staff driving records for the Y safety plan. Actively participate in the Old Colony Y's Strong Kids Campaign. Offer support in crisis situations to all Y programs. Make presentations to

 

outside community groups including schools, colleges, agencies and organizations. Serve on assigned committees

 

Closing Statement: To ensure the overall operations of the Y by supporting teamwork and accepting additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Educational/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Two or more years direct human service experience
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Proficiency in database management
  • Must be able to walk, sit, stand and bend during the work day
