General Purpose and Scope of Position:Ā 

Wilbur-Ellis is seeking an Agriculture Field Scout responsible for pest trap placement and monitoring/recording pest activity of various crops and pests. The Field Scout works closely with the field sales and the operations support team.Ā Ā This is a seasonal position that will start in the SUMMER OF 2026!

A Sample of WhatĀ You’llĀ Do inĀ this Role:Ā 

  • PrepareĀ andĀ installĀ traps for placement in the fieldĀ Ā 

  • Inspect andĀ monitorĀ trapsĀ on a weekly basisĀ Ā 

  • Maintain data counts of the number of pests trappedĀ Ā 

  • Use GPS technology to map fieldsĀ Ā 

  • Comply withĀ company safety standardsĀ Ā 

  • Take soil samples as needed or directed by salesĀ Ā 

  • Scout crops for economic pests and report to theĀ appropriate Sales RepresentativeĀ 
    Ā 

What You Bring toĀ the Role:Ā 

  • A strong interest in Agriculture, Plant Science, or HorticultureĀ Ā 

  • Intermediate levelĀ proficiencyĀ with standard software including MS Office SuiteĀ Ā 

  • Ability to safelyĀ operateĀ a vehicle within state laws and company policies and guidelinesĀ 

  • Knowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)Ā 
    Ā
