Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to move, locate, load, and stack materials and finished goods within the beverage manufacturing warehouse. This role ensures timely and accurate movement of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished pallets between production lines, storage areas, and shipping docks. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced in high-pace warehouse environments.Â
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods to and from production linesÂ
- Load and unload trailers, verifying product and quantities against shipping documentsÂ
- Stack pallets neatly and safely in designated warehouse locationsÂ
- Supply production lines with materials as needed to prevent downtimeÂ
- Use RF scanners or inventory systems to track material movementsÂ
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory accuracy auditsÂ
- Properly tag and label all product per company proceduresÂ
- Report discrepancies or damages to the Warehouse Supervisor or ManagerÂ
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with OSHA and company safety standardsÂ
- Perform daily pre-use inspections and report any equipment issuesÂ
- Follow safe lifting, stacking, and driving practices at all timesÂ
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free warehouse environmentÂ
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth operationsÂ
- Communicate material shortages, space constraints, or line needs promptlyÂ
- Assist in warehouse housekeeping and organization efforts as neededÂ
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reportingÂ
- Perform all other duties or tasks as assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives.Â

- Inventory Accuracy: Correct material movements and documentationÂ
- Forklift Safety Compliance: Zero incidents or violationsÂ
- Line Support Efficiency: On-time delivery of materials to productionÂ
- Shipping & Receiving Accuracy: Ensure outbound pallets are loaded correctly and inbound shipments are received, inspected, and documented accuratelyÂ
- Warehouse Organization: Neat, compliant, and accessible product stagingÂ
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- 2 –5 years of forklift or warehouse experience in manufacturing or logistics preferredÂ
Skills & Competencies:
- Safe and confident operation of forklifts and powered industrial equipmentÂ
- Basic math and reading skills for inventory documentationÂ
- Familiarity with warehouse layout, FIFO, and product stagingÂ
- Strong attention to safety, organization, and detailÂ
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in cold (including coolers at temperatures as low as 36°F for full shifts), hot, or fast-paced production and warehouse environmentsÂ
